Today we will talk about how you can become the best programmer in 2023

If you want to be the best Programmer by 2023.
Here are 10 points for you:

  1. Pick your language

Pick a language you like and get competent with it, don’t fret about the big stuff, learn the basics.

2. You don’t need a degree!

If anyone tells you otherwise they are lying.

3. Ask questions!

ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS! It’s the only way you are going to learn. There are no stupid questions. Don’t be embarrassed, be a pain in the ass!

4. Debug

The secret to debugging is to approach the problem methodically and never make any assumptions.

5. Refactor

Getting the code to work is only the first stage. It would be best if you made it easy to read and maintain by other people.

6. Programming is not memorization

At least not in APIs, method/function signatures, etc. That’s what IDEs, documentation, and hell, even Google are for.

7. Don’t Stress

Do not stress too much about programming syntax. You will forget most of it anyway.

8. Learn an IDE

Start using an IDE and learn most of the shortcuts.
The learning curve might be high. But once it becomes muscle memory, your productivity will be through the roof.

9. Like Edison says

“Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”. There are no shortcuts. Practice. Practice. Practice!

10. Simple is beautiful. Explicit is beautiful.
